DCPS Back to School Block Party / Fiesta de Regreso a Clases de DCPS

The DC Public Schools’ Back to School Block Party is a celebration to welcome students, families, teachers, school administration, and community members to a successful start to the new school year. The Block Party is designed to engage the DC community in a fun and welcoming environment while providing information and resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and gather materials from community organizations and District Government agencies, including health & wellness, food access, and college & career readiness to name a few. There will be free food and fun activities for all ages including a moon bounce, face painting, and student performances.

Will there be a rain date?

The event will happen rain or shine. In the event of rain, the Block Party will move to the indoors.

Do I need to bring my ticket or reservation?

Registration is requested to keep count of our attendees, but it is not required to attend the event.

I did not register in time, can I still attend?

Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of registration. Food and free items will be given on first come, first served basis.

Jefferson Middle School Academy is located a half a mile from the L’Enfant metro stop on the blue, orange, silver line, yellow, and green line and the . The school is located along the 52, 74, P6, and DC Circulator bus routes.

La Fiesta de Regreso a Clases de las Escuelas Públicas de DC (DCPS) es una celebración para dar la bienvenida a los estudiantes, padres, maestros, personal de administración de la escuela y miembros de la comunidad, a un buen comienzo del nuevo curso escolar. La Fiesta está diseñada para que los miembros de la comunidad de DC participen en un ambiente divertido y acogedor, mientras se ofrece información y recursos de organizaciones socias locales y agencias Gubernamentales del Distrito, como salud & bienestar, acceso a alimentos, preparación para la universidad y la carrera, entre otros. Habrá comida gratuita y actividades divertidas para todas las edades, que incluirán un castillo inflable, pintura de la cara, y presentaciones de los estudiantes.

No necesitará su boleto. El uso de Eventbrite es únicamente para llevar la cuenta de los asistentes.

No me inscribí a tiempo, ¿puedo ir igual?

Todos son bienvenidos a participar, sin importar si se inscribieron o no. La comida y otras cosas gratuitas se entregarán por orden de llegada.
